These FIVE " BLIND MISSES " can usually be found in relationships all over the world. Directly and indirectly ,some of them were the cause of many of the bad and broken relationships. The First " MISS " that we will discuss is " Miss " Communication(mis-communication). One of the main reasons that " Mis-communication " is able to cause so many problems is because Communication has to be given and received. Many times the Communication isn't received the way it was given( meant to be received ). There are many reasons why people aren't good at Communicating, but the good news is that people can help eliminate " Mis-communication " by learning how to Communicate better. The Second " MISS " is " MISS " Inform[ mis-inform ]. Has someone ever told you that something was going to happen at one time, only to find out later that the person was " Mis-informed !" Yes,it has happened to me too ! While we can't prevent people from giving us erroneous information, we can reach out to other people or check other sources for the correct information. A good way to overcome " Mis-inform " is to Check and Double Check(This applies to dates, times, people, places, things, and general information as well)! The Third " MISS " is " MISS " Interpret( mis-interpret ).This is the " MISS " that's the most funniest to me.It's the most funniest because, it's not even what was meant to be received,Lol ! One person said one thing, but another person thought the person meant a different thing. A good way to avoid " Mis-interpret " is by asking the person for clarification of what was said, either by repeating what was said or by rephrasing what was said in your own words. The Fourth " MISS " is " MISS " Education[ mis-education ]. The main problem with this " MISS " is that " Mis-education " is running rampant through our Schools, Colleges, and Universities ! It's the preverbial sore that won't go away. In 1933, a Negro man named Carter G. Woodson wrote the book," THE MISEDUCATION OF THE NEGRO." In his book, Carter G. Woodson said, " When you control a man's thinking you do not have to worry about his actions. You do not have to tell him not to stand here or go yonder. He will find his "proper place" and will stay in it. You do not need to send him to the back door. He will go without being told. In fact, if there is no back door, he will cut one for his special benefit. His (Mis)education makes it necessary ! You see, " Mis-Education " will lead you down roads that you have no business going down." Mis-Education " will have you believing things that are totally wrong.Lastly, Carter G. Woodson said, " Mis-Education " will have Mis-Educated teachers Mis-Educating the students ! The Fifth and final " MISS " is " MISS " Understanding{ mis-understanding }. I am often surprised at how many times " Mis-understanding " has ruin so many relationships. Personally, I feel that people need to understood that learning doesn't stop after High School, and that we have to always keep working on " OUR OWN " personal development. If " Mis-understanding " is causing problems in your life, I STRONGLY advise you to read the book, " The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People " by Stephen R.
